Terms and Conditions for Press Passes

  1. Eligibility

The press pass is issued exclusively to accredited media professionals, including journalists, reporters, photographers, and videographers.

Applicants must provide valid credentials proving their affiliation with a recognised media outlet (e.g., news agency, magazine, TV network, or digital platform).

2. Access

The press pass grants access to designated areas of the event or venue for the purpose of media coverage only.

Unauthorized access to restricted areas or failure to comply with event security personnel may result in the revocation of the press pass.

3. Non-transferability

The press pass is non-transferable and must be used only by the individual whose name appears on the pass.

Transferring or loaning the press pass to non-accredited individuals is prohibited.

4. Conduct and Behavior

Media professionals must maintain professional conduct at all times during the event.

Any disruptive behavior, including but not limited to inappropriate language, intoxication, or harassment of event staff or participants, will result in the immediate revocation of the press pass.

5. Filming and Photography

Media professionals are permitted to film, photograph, or record in areas designated for press coverage only.

Any footage, photographs, or recordings must be used solely for journalistic purposes. Unauthorised use for commercial purposes without prior permission is prohibited.

6. Equipment

Media professionals are responsible for their own equipment and must comply with the event’s equipment policies.

Large equipment such as tripods, lighting, or cameras may only be used in designated press areas and must not obstruct the movement of event attendees.

7. Indemnity and Liability

Media professionals attending the event with a press pass do so at their own risk.

The event organisers or press pass issuer are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred while attending the event.

8. Revocation

The press pass may be revoked at any time if the terms and conditions are violated, or if the applicant is found to be ineligible or engages in inappropriate conduct.

The event organisers reserve the right to deny access to media professionals at their discretion.

9. Use of Press Pass

The press pass must be visibly worn at all times while in the designated media areas.

Media professionals are required to check in at designated press registration areas upon arrival and sign in according to event procedures.

10. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Media professionals must respect the intellectual property rights of the event and other parties involved.

Any footage or photos taken may not infringe on the rights of event organisers, participants, or other individuals present.

11. Cancellation or Changes

Event organizers reserve the right to cancel or modify the press pass access, including changes in coverage areas or event schedules.

If access is revoked or altered, no refund or compensation will be provided.

These are general terms, and they may vary depending on the event or specific press pass issuer. Always read the specific terms provided with the press pass application form and ensure you understand all the conditions before applying.
